FESTIVAL MESSAGE FROM BERRIES

I believe that art resides deep within the soul of every child, and it is my hope that they can all harness this innate creativity to lead vibrant and exciting lives.

Over the years, Berries World of Learning School has been dedicated to creating an enriching Chinese language environment, transcending traditional boundaries, and extending Chinese language learning beyond the confines of the classroom. In line with this, I am also committed to integrating life and art, offering both children and adults multifaceted experiences with the Chinese language.

With child-like excitement, I look forward to our collaboration with The Theatre Practice to present Berries Chinese Theatre Festival: Family Edition. At the heart of art lies the essence of human expression, creativity, and emotion. May the festival spark joy and wonder in the hearts of our children as they embark on an unforgettable journey.

Let us extend our warm applause to the talented actors and creatives, and provide loving companionship for our children to realise their potential.

We are grateful to have The Theatre Practice alongside us in fulfilling our mission.

Together, let us unite our efforts in inspiring the children of today, to light up the world of tomorrow.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

In an age where information is abundant, the arts offer children something increasingly precious: space to wonder before arriving at an answer — to ask questions, consider different perspectives, make unexpected connections, and discover meaning for themselves.

Like raising a child, however, the impact of arts education is rarely immediate. Yet we continue to invest in these moments because the seeds we plant flourish in their own time.

That belief has shaped our commitment to Theatre for Young Audiences for decades. As we approach the 10th anniversary of The Nursery Rhymes Project, we're excited to present another edition of Here Comes The Breakfast Kakis: Imagine Our Songs!, continuing our journey to nurture a love for Chinese language and culture through the arts.

We're also presenting our first international production since the pandemic, welcoming back old friends from Flying Group Theatre whose handcrafted productions invite us to slow down and rediscover the simple joy of wonder.

Finally, a big thank you to Berries World of Learning School for their continuous support and for sharing our vision of creating meaningful opportunities for families to experience language, culture and the arts together.

With that, see you at the theatre!
