SALON (Not For Cutting Hair): Grace Song
SALON (Not For Cutting Hair) #10 (In partnership with @sgiffest 2026)
You've heard about them. You've always wanted to know how their brains work. With one guest artist helming each session, SALON (Not For Cutting Hair) brings together food, art, and conversation for an interactive experience designed to nourish body AND mind.
MEET THE ARTIST: GRACE SONG
Grace Song is a Singaporean multidisciplinary artist and writer-director whose work spans film, movement, and experimental media.
Her practice often explores themes of memory, identity, and the uncanny through an evocative, personal lens. Sensitive and sculptural, she intertwines sensory perception, temporal dislocation, and neurodivergent consciousness with non-linearity, creating works that intersect poetic abstraction and neurological anthropology.
Her most recent work, Hour Of The Flower made its premiere at @sgiffest 2025, and has been screened at the Leiden international short film festival, Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival, and won the Kodak Film Award at Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg 2026.
