My mother has always cooked for the family. We grew up in a kampong and she always had to feed a very big family. But every 初一十五, she would need to prepare food to offer as prayers. To 拜拜. My children look forward these dates because of the whole table of food. To prepare the duck, my mom would wake up at 4am just so it can be ready in time.
My Mother fell ill a year ago and hasn't been able to cook since. I'm the only one who knows exactly how she cooks for 拜拜. I hope you enjoy these simple dishes from my family.
