Utopiazoo

Our story starts with a little horse who left his familiar hometown to travel alone to a faraway valley. But when he finally arrives, he finds himself a nuisance to the other animals in the valley. Can the little horse fit in?

One fateful day, a terrible disaster breaks out. The animals flee their valley and find themselves in a new utopia. But will the residents welcome these newcomers? How will they fit in?

In collaboration with playwright Chou Jung-shih and award-winning illustrator Ghislaine Herbéra, Flying Group Theatre (Taiwan) combines puppetry, mask and shadow play to explore migration in this family-friendly fable. Utopiazoo is the latest work in the For You, My Children series by Flying Group Theatre which seeks to encourage parent-child dialogue on world issues.
