Created in the '80s by the late playwright Kuo Pao Kun, Day I Met The Prince is inspired by the French novel The Little Prince. The story follows the journey of a strange alien prince and his travels to various planets. It is both a beautiful journey that unravels the many sides of humanity and a moving discovery of self-worth. This universally beloved tale is a popular school touring show presented by The Theatre Practice, and has influenced generations of young people. It is a play that inspires one to face life's challenges head on, keep an open mind, and perhaps even become passionate about the arts. In 2012, Day I Met The Prince is brought into the theatre, and revitalised with additional musical, multimedia and interactive elements, thereby evoking our innate ability to experience – and be touched by – the vitality of life.
