Performing The Director's Notes: All The World's A Sea
Dad, how's the script? (I mean, have you started?) I have some ideas for set and lighting already! Watch your health and don't eat too much. Mama says you're getting fat.
With love,

Featuring vignettes from The Theatre Practice's upcoming All The World's A Sea and correspondences between Kuo Jian Hong and the late Kuo Pao Kun, Performing The Director's Notes: All The World's A Sea is the unfolding of a decades-long dialogue between two generations of theatre practitioners.
How do we transform what we have inherited? Breathing new life into materials from past productions and spotlighting the physical labour of creation, this theatrical experiment invites audiences to witness scenography-in-action, as the design studio becomes the stage.
All The World's A Sea (August 2024)
Who am I? Where do I come from? What does it mean to be human?
Set against the backdrop of a world buffeted by unrest, All The World's A Sea is a meditation on the journeys of the uprooted and displaced. Presented in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres by the Bay, the multidisciplinary epic delivers a contemporary aesthetic, intersecting with a critical examination of the limitations of our humanity.
