Play In Arts (4-6 years old)

How long has it been since you looked up and marveled at the birds flying across the sky? Or stopped to peer at the intricate patterns of leaves, rubbing your fingers across their textures? Children do such things every day. They embrace the world with open hearts and unconditional love.

In our classes, we give them simple items such as hula hoops, bouncy balls or empty tins and sticks, and they conjure up games in abundance! It’s not just fun and games though. Children instinctively learn to concentrate, work with other kids, appreciate music and rhythm, and loosen up their bodies to physically express themselves in different ways. Designed by our co-founder, Goh Lay Kuan, Play In Arts aims to engage your child with precisely such ‘playful’ activities, and inspire kids through exposure to all kinds of art activities!

The course includes:

Story Banq (7-9 years old)

In Story Banq, we believe in the power of words and the fascination of good stories. In our classes, children listen to narratives, retell them, share their stories, and go one step further to create their own tales. In the process, they expand the boundaries of their imagination and gain the confidence to articulate their ideas. They share their stories through class presentations, body movement, drawings and simple craft work.

We weave the richness of stories into the course:

Drama Class (10-12 years old)

In our classes, before we start to imitate characters, let us first observe ourselves. Explore your body, let loose different sounds, appreciate the different ways that we express ourselves, observe others and our surroundings. This is apparent in the classroom as students immerse themselves in theatre games, enhance their connection of body to mind through movement, and work in groups to create a dramatic piece. Drama flows naturally onstage as an extension of life itself.

In Drama Class, the emphasis is not on training actors. Our teachers encourage physical and verbal expression, nurture creativity, build confidence, and aim to develop each individual’s character. Some of our students also have the opportunity to perform alongside professional actors in our musicals and plays!

The course includes:

The most important aspect of an arts education for a child is its integration within culture itself. Culture sets forth the foundation on which a country is built upon: its direction, pathways and values. The education of arts and culture very much emphasizes the development of character.
