The Practice Gala

The Practice Gala 实宴

7 July 2016, 7:30pm
Joyden Hall
Guest of Honor: Minister Heng Swee Keat

For an arts company, a space is more than just a physical space.
It is a home for the arts and it is the soul of a theatre company.

In July 2016, we will have a new address: 54-58 Waterloo Street.

This marks the beginning of a new phase in TTP’s journey.  We will still be in the heart of the vibrant and bustling Waterloo Street district, but for the first time, we will have our own 120-seat theatre to present our works: Practice Space.

And here begins the hard work of gathering resources to build our new home.  We have to shoulder the bulk of the cost to retrofit and renovate the entire space, and this is a great financial undertaking for us, a non-profit arts company.

You can make a difference. By attending the Gala dinner, you will be helping The Theatre Practice move to its new premises, and at the same time have a stake in an established, local leading arts company consistently producing a diverse range of landmark works for a diverse audience. All donations will go solely towards retrofitting and renovating 54-58 Waterloo Street.

The Practice Fundraising Gala will feature song, dance and theatre performances by the finest local theatre talents, this is an event not to be missed!

Donation tables, each seating 10 guests, are now available. Tables are priced at $5000 and $2000. As The Theatre Practice is a Singapore Registered Institute of Public Character, all donations will be eligible for 250% tax deduction.

To enquire, donate for the tables, or to extent any other forms of support or donation for the event, please e-mail Woon Yong at or call 63372525.

Art originates from life. Theatre is like a mirror that reflects the people and happenings in life from a different perspective, encouraging us to look within ourselves and to observe the ways of others.
