Organised by The Theatre Practice, the first Chinese Theatre Festival leaps forth this August, showcasing a slew of Chinese language theatre productions from Singapore and the Asian region. Local audience can look forward to performances of different genres, skills and techniques. This multicultural festival plays host to some of the best Chinese productions from Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, offering a fine opportunity to unveil the beauty of Chinese Theatre.

Lau directed and created his own debut theatre works, Am I Crying, FireKid and Mr. Windy NoBody, the fusion of storytelling, paper-cutting, music and the crafting of Pop-Up storybooks.

First adapted by Taiwan's The Puppet and its Double Theater in 2000, this heartwarming fable has since become a classic in the company's repertoire. The Happy Prince features the "rod marionette' popular in the Czech Republic, modified with a special string for gestures.
